Stirling v Peterhead preview

Stirling v Peterhead preview

Peterhead are our visitors on Saturday – we are unbeaten against the Blue Toon this season but Jim McInally’s men travel south on the back of thumping East Stirlingshire 6-0 last week and they are looking good for the play-offs. Binos boss Greig McDonald has been voted Manager of the Month for March ahead of our penultimate home game of 2012/13, with Elgin due at Forthbank in a fortnight.

Team news: Albion are without defenders Brian Allison and Ross Forsyth, who both have knee injuries. Peterhead top scorer Rory McAllister is doubtful with a back injury while Bryan Gilfillan, Callum Macdonald and David Ross are ruled out.

Past meetings: Jordan White’s penalty settled the December meeting in our favour while both Balmoor games were drawn – 2-2 in October and 0-0 in February.

Match facts: We are unbeaten in our last seven home games, winning five and drawing two. Our overall record since early February is just one defeat in 13 matches. We have drawn our last two fixtures 2-2 at Queen’s Park and Montrose and beat Berwick 1-0 in our last Forthbank outing on March 30. Peterhead have won their last four matches, scoring 16 goals and conceding none.

Greig McDonald: “We have had tight games with Jim McInally’s team all season and if we win we are still in with a chance.”

Jim McInally: “We are on a good run and I would like to move closer to securing a play-off place by beating a strong Stirling side.”
