Albion striker Bradley Coyne has been given the green light to step up his training as he battles back to fitness following knee surgery in September.
The 19-year-old former St Mirren, Forfar and East Stirlingshire forward sustained cruciate ligament damage in our opening league game of the season against Annan and has been out of action since then.
Assistant manager Marc McCulloch said: “Bradley saw the surgeon again at the end of last week and there are no problems, so he has been given the go ahead to press on with his training in conjunction with our physio Stuart Phin.
“The most important thing is that Bradley is ready to start pre-season training but if we could get him back before then it would be a bonus.
“He has done plenty of running but I don’t think he has even struck a football yet, so there is a bit to go. I think it’s fair to say Bradley, more than anyone, hopes we make the play-offs to give him a better chance of returning this season.”
