The Executive Board are pleased to announce that we have signed a kit contract with Italian Sportswear manufacturers, Macron.
Whilst the three-year deal is naturally based on commercial terms, both parties are agreed it can be viewed as working in partnership to produce mutual benefits. One obvious example of this is the common link to the John Hartson Foundation and we will continue to display their logo on our home and away kit.
With regards to first-team kit for season 2013/14, the unbranded version of the home shirt is displayed above. This will be a one season only kit and for this reason we will be looking to retail it at a very competitive price. Why one season only? We have ambitious plans to celebrate our 70th Anniversary during season 2014/15, 2015/16 with a special commemorative return of an iconic strip from the past. More news to follow in due course.
Our away / change kit for the next two seasons will be offered to Trust Members to vote on and further details will be released in the very near future on the Official Website and the vote itself will be taken forward by the Trust on their website.
Operations Director, Stuart Brown, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have secured this deal with Macron. Over the past month, I’ve worked closely with Ray Pennock of Macron and I’m confident that we have a contract in place that provides excellent value for Stirling Albion. For our part, we will be doing everything we can to promote the Macron brand and I very much look forward to working with Ray and his Macron colleagues as we move forward in partnership.”
On behalf of Macron, Ray Pennock said: “We here at Macron Store Neath are proud and delighted that Stirling Albion FC have joined us in a three-year technical kit sponsorship deal, and in addition join the ever-growing list of professional football clubs in the UK.
“We are looking forward to working closely with Stuart and all connected with the Club to provide Stirling Albion FC with the image to match their ambition over the next three years, particularly in view of the club’s 70th Anniversary in the not too distant future. Following our discussions over recent weeks and months, Stirling Albion FC have been a real pleasure to deal with and the Club has shown me a great passion and desire for success and I am sure that we will build a very successful future together.”
