Binos boss Greig McDonald has paid tribute to the Albion fans who gave the team great backing during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Elgin City at Borough Briggs as we ended our long wait for an away league victory.
Two stunning first-half strikes from Kieran McAnespie extended our unbeaten sequence to seven matches ahead of Tuesday’s trip to take on Berwick Rangers at Shielfield.
McDonald said: “I would like to thank our supporters who made the long trip to Elgin on Saturday – the backing is much appreciated by the players, Marc McCulloch and myself.
“Berwick was our poorest away performance of the season and we want to make amends for that. Ian Little and Robbie Horn have a very attack-minded side but, if we can reach the same levels we have done over the last seven games, I’m certain we can cause them problems.
“The players were magnificent again on Saturday. They are showing unbelievable fitness levels and a great level of performance during this run and we can’t speak highly enough of them.”
