Stirling Albion v Rangers – Tuesday 26 February
Just a brief update on last night and a big thank you to everyone who made the evening such an outstanding success.
The Police have confirmed that there were no major incidents before, during or after the match. My thanks to everyone in attendance. There was a technical problem with one of the turnstiles in the South Terracing not registering each fan entering the ground on the computer which is essential for a safety reasons but this was quickly resolved by putting a clerical system in place. Everyone who turned up in time was in the ground by kick off.
With regards to behind-the-scenes thanks, top of the list has to be the Commercial Team and their band of volunteers for the Herculean effort in putting on a sell-out show in Hospitality. I would also like to record my thanks to those in attendance. Your support is much appreciated, as are the many messages of thanks received, including one that stated our package was better than any experience he’d had at any ground in Scotland, including the Premier League.
There are lots of other thanks due but rather than run the risk of omitting someone, on behalf of the Club Executive, I extend thanks to everyone who played their part in making last night such an outstanding success.
In closing, I’d like to thank Greig, Marc and the whole squad for not just making last night such a memorable experience but the whole of February. Our upturn in on-field performances makes all the hard work everyone at the Club puts in worthwhile.
Greig is now focused on getting the squad ready for the trip to Elgin and hopefully our first away win of the season. Unfortunately, I can confirm that this will have to be done without the services of David Crawford. He picked up his quad injury with literally his last kick of the game and early indications are that this will keep him out for at least two weeks.
