Stirling v Annan preview
Albion are aiming to make it four matches unbeaten on Tuesday night when Jim Chapman brings his Annan Athletic side to Forthbank, kick-off 7.45pm, for a fixture that was postponed on January 19 due to a frozen pitch. We go into the game on the back of a 0-0 draw at Peterhead while the Galabankies went down 2-1 to East Stirlingshire at the weekend.
Team news: Brian Allison is suspended after being sent off against Peterhead on Saturday and fellow defender Ross McGeachie remains sidelined with a foot injury. Annan are without Peter Watson and Graeme Ramage.
Past meetings: The clubs have met just twice since Annan joined the SFL in 2008. We ran out 5-1 winners at Forthbank on the opening day of this season when the visitors had Graeme Ramage sent off in the first half. Jamie Clark, Danny Ashe, Scott Davidson, Graham Weir and Gavin Macpherson were all on target. The Galabankies gained revenge with a 5-2 victory in November when we had Gary Thom and Sam Filler red carded before the break.
Match facts: This is the fourth of nine games in 29 days for Greig McDonald’s side, with Clyde here on Saturday and Rangers in town next Tuesday. We have won five, drawn one and lost five of our 11 home games so far. Annan have picked up just one win on the road, 3-2 against Clyde at the beginning of January.
