We play our first away game for a month when we travel to Balmoor to take on Peterhead on Saturday. The Binos head north still two points adrift at the foot of the table after Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against East Stirlingshire but we are looking to make it three games unbeaten for the first time this season.
Team news: Ross McGeachie remains sidelined through injury but fellow defender Jamie Clark is available again after illness. Peterhead welcome back Scott Ross and Ryan Strachan from suspension but Callum MacDonald and David Ross are still out.
Past meetings: We fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Balmoor at the end of October and Jordan White’s penalty earned us a 1-0 win at Forthbank just before Christmas. We have won on only two of our 15 visits to Peterhead, losing six times and drawing on seven occasions.
Match facts: We haven’t won away in the league since beating Albion Rovers 2-1 on the final day of last season and it is 13 months since we kept a clean sheet on our travels. Our last away outing was a 2-1 defeat to Clyde on January 12. Peterhead won 4-2 at East Stirling last weekend and are third in the table, with just two defeats at Balmoor. Their last home game was a 1-1 draw against Berwick.
Greig McDonald: “We were really good against Montrose last Saturday when we won 3-1 but not so good on Tuesday night.”
Jim McInally: “Stirling are in a false position and, with the players they have, they will start climbing the table soon.”
