Weather permitting, we welcome Annan Athletic to Forthbank on Saturday as we aim to close the four-point gap on second-bottom East Stirlingshire while our visitors will have new boss Jim Chapman in charge for the first time after the recent departure of Harry Cairney. News of any pitch inspection will be posted on twitter @stirling_albion or @forthbank_news in the first instance.
Team news: Binos boss Greig McDonald expects to have virtually a full squad to choose from but Gary Thom is suspended. Fellow defender Jamie Bishop signed this week after leaving Forfar and comes into contention, having impressed while on loan from Station Park in December.
Past meetings: The clubs have met just twice since Annan joined the SFL in 2008. We ran out 5-1 winners at Forthbank on the opening day of this season when the visitors had Graeme Ramage sent off in the first half. Jamie Clark, Danny Ashe, Scott Davidson, Graham Weir and Gavin Macpherson were all on target. The Galabankies gained revenge with a 5-2 victory in November when we had Gary Thom and Sam Filler red carded before the break.
Match facts: We are seeking our first win of 2013, having taken just one point from 12 since beating Peterhead 1-0 on December 22. We have won four and lost five of our nine home games so far. Annan beat Montrose 2-1 last weekend while we lost to Clyde by the same score at Broadwood. Annan are in sixth spot, three points short of the play-offs, but their only away win was 3-2 against Clyde a fortnight ago.
