Next game: East Stirlingshire (H)

We are at home to our local rivals East Stirlingshire on Saturday in the first of two meetings with Shire in the space of a month – our first game of 2013 is against John Coughlin’s team at Ochilview on Wednesday January 2.

Scott Davidson was sent off when we lost the corresponding fixture 3-1 in September and Shire are five points above us at the foot of the Third Division table.

Stirling Albion welcome back Gary Thom after a two-match ban and manager Greig McDonald will hope the injury situation has improved after several players missed Friday’s 2-1 defeat against Queen’s Park at Hampden.

East Stirlingshire are without German midfielder Philipp Züfle, who is suspended after being sent off in the recent 6-2 defeat to Rangers, but teenage defender Jordan Holt has recently signed on loan from St Mirren.

Shire head to Forthbank, for the first time since we won 6-0 in March 2004, on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Berwick Rangers on Sunday.

Saturday’s referee is Stevie O’Reilly. Admission prices are £10 adults, £7 seniors/students, £5 U17s.
