Stirling Albion are at home to Elgin City on Saturday, looking to avenge August’s 3-1 defeat at Borough Briggs.
Scott Davidson gave us an early lead that day but Craig Gunn, Mark Nicolson and Dennis Wyness earned Ross Jack’s team a deserved win.
Elgin are second in the table, two points behind Rangers, and beat Berwick 3-1 at home on Saturday. They have scored at least two goals in each of their last seven league and cup matches but didn’t keep any clean sheets during that run.
We are looking for only our third league win of the season and are without banned duo Gary Thom and Sam Filler, who were sent off in Saturday’s 5-2 defeat at Annan.
Elgin’s last visit to Forthbank was in November 2005 when Ross Forsyth and Paddy Connolly scored our goals in a 2-1 Scottish Cup win. The last league meeting here was in March 2004 – Scott McLean hit a hat-trick as we enjoyed a 6-1 triumph.
Saturday’s referee is Don Robertson and admission prices are £10 adults, £7 seniors/students, £5 children U17. Tickets for our trip to Ibrox on Saturday December 8 will be on sale before the game.
