Albion assistant manager Marc McCulloch admits everyone at the club is still on a high after Saturday’s incredible 1-o win over Rangers at Forthbank, which was only our second ever victory against the Ibrox club.
McCulloch said: “Shaun Fagan and myself did our best to keep everyone’s feet on the ground at training last night but it wasn’t easy! It’s fair to say the lads were in good spirits and Saturday was definitely the highlight of my career.
“It was fairytale stuff really. We had to replace our goalkeeper at half-time and Brian Allison’s goal was his first for four years. My phone has been red hot since the weekend from people I haven’t heard from in years, including a few Rangers fans!
“It’s a mixed blessing that we don’t play this weekend. On the one hand everyone is buzzing but it was a very physical game against Rangers and we have a few bumps and bruises which should have healed in time for Montrose a week on Saturday.”
