Stirling Albion captain Brian Allison’s winning goal against Rangers on Saturday was only the second of his career and came more than four years after his first.
In February 2008, the 24-year-old netted in a 1-0 victory over Partick Thistle in a Division One match at Forthbank while on loan to us from Falkirk, and until the weekend that remained his sole strike in senior football.
He told STV: “Nobody would have backed me to score – it’s only my second professional goal so I was just delighted to get it and delighted with the three points. I’m just a wee guy from Granton. It’s surreal – it’s not really sunk in.”
