Stirling Albion and Berwick Rangers meet on league business tomorrow for the first time since 2004/05, when we drew 2-2 at Shielfield thanks to goals from Robert Dunn and Dougie Wilson. We have only made four visits across the border since the mid-1990s and head south looking to end a run of four straight defeats since we thrashed Annan 5-1 on the opening day.
Team news Albion have signed 20-year-old striker Jordan White on loan from Falkirk for three months and he goes straight into the squad but Scott Davidson starts a two-match ban. Defenders David McClune (calf) and Kieran McAnespie (hip) are also sidelined. Striker Bradley Coyne had knee surgery on Thursday and the game comes too soon for Shaun Fagan. Berwick Rangers are without Marc Lancaster and Dene Droudge but Stuart Noble is set to return.
Greig McDonald: “We are on a disappointing run but I cannot fault the commitment of the players. We need to keep working hard and cut out the individual errors.”
Ian Little: “We are still scoring goals but if we are to meet our aspirations to be in the top half of the table then we need to be better at the back.”
Match facts We have lost both our away games so far this season. We beat Albion Rovers on the final day of last term but have not drawn on the road since a 2-2 stalemate at Forfar in January. Berwick have drawn with Elgin and Rangers and beaten East Stirling in their three home games.
