Goals from Craig Mason, Chris Geddes and Paul Sludden gave the University of Stirling a deserved victory in a Challenge Match on Tuesday evening.
Mason broke the deadlock after 40 minutes of a first half of few chances when he burst into the box and squeezed a shot past Sam Filler and Eddie May’s men sealed victory with two goals in three minutes just after the hour mark.
Former Albion and Brechin striker Geddes, who has scored an incredible 15 goals in eight league and cup games this season, beat Filler to a long ball and kept his cool to steer a shot into the empty net from 25 yards.
Ex-Falkirk forward Sludden rounded off the scoring and we struggled all night to create chances, although U19 frontman Sandy Cunningham looked lively after coming on as a sub and came close to a consolation goal.
Player-assistant manager Shaun Fagan made his comeback after injury while former Albion midfielder Liam Corr, who has been a regular for the East of Scotland Premier League champions and current leaders, missed out with a knock.
