Stirling Albion return to action on Saturday for a local derby against East Stirlingshire at Ochilview.
John Coughlin’s side are still looking for their first league point of 2012/13 but reached the quarter-finals of the Ramsdens Cup and were unlucky to lose 2-1 to Cowdenbeath on Saturday.
Albion are seeking to end a run of three straight defeats in Division Three in the first of a hat-trick of away games – we travel to Berwick on September 22 and are on William Hill Scottish Cup duty at Dalbeattie the following weekend.
It will be the first meeting between Albion and Shire since we won a Scottish Cup first-round tie 2-0 at Firs Park in November 2006.
Binos boss Greig McDonald said: “I had them watched at the weekend and the report said they played well against Cowdenbeath, so we know it will be a difficult match. We have not had the start we would have wanted in the league, and neither have East Stirling, so it is an important game for both clubs.”
