Stirling Albion v Queen’s Park Preview

Saturday September 1 – Forthbank – 3pm

Team news Striker Bradley Coyne and defender Shaun Fagan are again sidelined. Skipper Brian Allison and Danny Ashe face fitness tests and Jamie McCunnie may also miss out as his wife is due to give birth. Queen’s Park have doubts over Tony Quinn and Michael Keenan.

Match info Queen’s Park are on a high after a terrific 2-1 home win over Dundee in the League Cup on Wednesday. Gardner Speirs’ side have four points on the board in Division Three from a win at East Stirling, a draw with Montrose and a defeat at Peterhead. We are looking to bounce back from defeats to Elgin and Clyde but beat a young Alloa side 2-0 in the Stirlingshire Cup on Tuesday. We have not played Queen’s Park since a 4-0 win at Forthbank in May 2009 – a game that went ahead on a Monday night after being postponed due to a waterlogged pitch on the Saturday. In the 14 meetings at Forthbank, we have won nine and lost three, with two draws.
