UPDATE – Friday 24 August
International clearance has been approved and Steven Weir is available for selection for tomorrow’s game v Clyde FC.
Manager Greig McDonald commented:
“I’m delighted we have been able to bring Stevie on board. He has been training with us for a number of weeks since returning from Australia and during that time, in both training and friendly matches, he has been outstanding.
“Stevie is an intelligent forward with pace and a natural finisher and I’m sure he will do well for us. The boys are raring to go and desperate to put last week’s disappointing performance at Elgin behind them. Hopefully we will get another big turnout at Forthbank to help support getting us back on track.”

Stirling Albion have signed 23-year-old striker Steven Weir from Moreland Zebras in Australia on a short-term deal until the end of December.
Steven, who is the brother of Albion forward Graham, could make his debut against Clyde at Forthbank on Saturday if international clearance is received in time.
He began his career at Livingston and has also played for Cowdenbeath, Arbroath and East Fife in the SFL and had a stint with Whitburn Juniors. Steven has turned out for several clubs Down Under and was most recently with Moreland, who are based in Melbourne.
With Bradley Coyne expected to be out for around two months with a knee injury sustained against Annan, Steven will give Binos boss Greig McDonald increased options in attack.
