Falkirk v Stirling Preview

Team news Albion are without Shaun Fagan and David McClune due to injury and Ross McGeachie is doubtful with an ankle knock. Midfielder Marc McCulloch could miss out because of work commitments and the game may come too soon for summer signing Kieran McAnespie, although he returned to training this week. Blair Alston and David Weatherston miss out for Falkirk.

Previous Ramsdens Cup clashes We triumphed 3-1 on penalties after a 0-0 draw in the first round at Forthbank two years ago. Falkirk won a second-round tie 5-3 on home turf in August 2004.

Recent form We beat Strathspey Thistle 4-0 last Friday before losing 3-0 to Brora Rangers on Saturday. New Falkirk signing Lyle Taylor scored a hat-trick in the 7-3 defeat to Middlesbrough on Sunday and was on target again in a 1-1 midweek draw with Bolton.

Stats We have twice reached the semi-finals of the Ramsdens Cup, losing to Stenhousemuir and Alloa. Falkirk are the current holders, having beaten Hamilton 1-0 in the final in April.

Long wait Our last away win over Falkirk was 2-1 on New Year’s Day 1975 when Mickey Lawson got both our goals.
