Binos Set For Highland Tour

Binos boss Greig McDonald takes his squad north this weekend for games against Highland League duo Strathspey Thistle on Friday and Brora Rangers on Saturday.

It’s the club’s first pre-season tour since 2003/04 when Allan Moore’s team played Buckie Thistle and Keith before going on to win promotion from Division Three.

And you have to go back to the summer of 1991 for the previous tour – John Brogan was in charge when Stirling Albion travelled south to play Altrincham and Witton Albion.

Current manager McDonald said:

“The trip up north is a good one for the supporters and hopefully the players will enjoy it. We’ll look to do well in the two games but results aren’t that important at this stage – it’s about fitness and a style of play. It’s also a chance for the squad to bond and do something different because we have worked them very hard in the last few weeks.”
